I felt a lot of doubt when I began my business. Just like others starting something new, I kept asking myself, "What if I’m doing this wrong?"The doubt felt like a shadow, hanging over me, especially while trying to understand technology.

Even though I felt scared and uncertain, I didn’t want to stop. Whether it was determination or stubbornness, my belief helped me keep going. I knew that success is tough, and facing problems is part of the journey.

When I felt confused and unsure of myself, it was easy to feel lost. Sometimes, you only need a small sign to show you the way. For me, that sign was an email saying I won the Microsoft MVP award. It wasn’t just a trophy, it made me feel my efforts were appreciated, which I didn’t realise I needed to hear.

Receiving that email in 2010 was a big moment for me. It showed that my efforts were being noticed globally, not just by those near me. I won the MVP award again in 2011 and 2012, and each time, it made me believe more that I was headed in the right direction. These awards reminded me that if I kept working hard, success would follow, and my journey, with its highs and lows, mattered.

After receiving recognition, everything became clear. I realised I was right where I belonged. This made me understand that we sometimes only know we’re on the right path when we reflect on what we’ve done.

The path to success isn’t always straight. There are usually twists, bumps, and times when you feel unsure. But these challenges can help us grow. Winning the MVP was a bright reminder that hard work and dedication pay off in unexpected ways.

As I moved forward as a business owner, I learned to accept my doubts instead of avoiding them. I realised that uncertainty is part of any journey, and it’s important to face it rather than let it stop you. When doubt came, I found strength in my values and the support around me.

As I look back, I see that many new business owners feel the same fear and uncertainty I did. It’s okay to worry about failure, but remember, doubt doesn’t decide how capable you are. Instead, use those feelings to encourage you to keep going. Keep looking for moments that make you feel proud, whether it’s getting recognized by others or reaching your own goals.

The next time you hear that voice of doubt, keep going and don’t stop. Look for little signs that show you’re on the right path. It might be a nice word from a coworker, good feedback from a client, or something you did that makes you happy. These moments remind you that you’re making progress, even if it feels slow sometimes.

As I keep going on my journey, I often think about that first email that changed everything for me. It was more than just a title, it showed how hard I had worked and gave me the belief I needed to keep going. When I felt doubt, I learned to trust myself and look for signs that I was on the right path.

What’s your special moment that made you believe in your journey? Think back to when you felt uncertain, but something happened to give you confidence. These moments remind us that tough challenges can lead to amazing outcomes.

To wrap it up, it’s natural to feel doubt but don’t let it influence your future. Keep moving forward, trust your journey, and be on the lookout for signs that help you. Every little step you take gets you closer to your goals, and you never know when the next reassuring moment will arrive.

/Doubt is natural, but keep moving forward. Trust your journey, seek signs of progress, and succeed.
